Exam Proctoring for Students from Any College or University
Can I take another college’s exam at Ramapo College? Yes! Testing at Ramapo is open to students from any college or university! Located in Mahwah, New Jersey, the Ramapo College Testing Center serves students throughout northern New Jersey and the surrounding region.
The Ramapo College Testing Center provides approved in-person proctoring for students taking exams from their home institution. Non-Ramapo students can take the ACCUPLACER, CLEP, STAMP or TEAS tests at the Ramapo College Testing Center or can provide us with an exam from their home institution to proctor. Your home college鈥檚 policies, procedures, guidelines, and time limits will be adhered to strictly.

Can We Proctor Your Exam?
The Ramapo College Testing Center provides secure in-person proctoring for students enrolled at other colleges, universities, high schools, and professional training programs.
We administer:
- Midterms
- Final exams
- Makeup exams
- Placement exams
- Online course exams
- Independent study exams
- Instructor-approved assessments for institutions that permit third-party proctoring
We regularly proctor exams for students enrolled at colleges and universities throughout the United States, online degree programs, community colleges, high schools, and professional education programs. Exams are administered by trained testing staff in a secure testing environment, following your institution’s testing requirements and academic integrity policies.
Before You Schedule Checklist

鉁� Verify that Ramapo College is an approved testing location.
鉁� Complete any required proctor approval forms.
鉁� Schedule your exam at least one week in advance.
鉁� Ensure your institution has our contact information to send all testing instructions and materials.
Proctoring Fees
- Up to 2 hours: $50
- More than 2 hours and up to 4 hours: $80
Fees are non-refundable and payable by credit card before the exam.
Pre-Testing Responsibilities
Your school should send:
- Exam materials
- Testing instructions
- Required passwords or access codes
- Allowed resources (calculator, notes, etc.)
- Contact information for the instructor or testing office

Can I take an exam for another college at Ramapo?

How far in advance should I schedule?
Please schedule at least one week before your preferred testing date to allow time for your institution to send exam materials.
What identification is required?
A current government-issued or school-issued photo ID is required on the day of your exam.
What if my instructor hasn't sent the exam?
We recommend reaching out to your home institution as soon as possible. We will also attempt to contact them as well.
What happens if I need to reschedule?
Rescheduling is simple! You can move the appointment on your own through our appointment system or you can email us at testing@ramapo.edu and we can assist.
What items can I bring into the testing room?
Only materials specifically authorized by your instructor or testing office are permitted. You will be asked to store all belongings (including cell phones) in our secure cabinets.
