Ramapo College is committed to treating all students fairly and is dedicated to providing a strong foundation for a lifetime of achievement. We work hard to promote diversity, inclusiveness, sustainability, student engagement, and community involvement. The College recognizes that disputes may sometimes arise and requests that the parties involved attempt to try and resolve the conflicts informally whenever possible. Students are encouraged to speak directly with the person or office against whom they have a complaint in order to voice concerns and work together toward a resolution.
If resolution cannot be reached, the Student Complaint Form provides a more formal complaint process to assure impartial and equitable resolution.
This form should NOT be submitted to address the following areas of concern:
- (BIT – Behavioral Intervention Team)
- (examples: sexual assault, sexual harassment, dating or domestic violence and stalking)
- Discrimination and Harassment
- Student Appeals of an Academic Nature (examples: grade appeals and issues with faculty)
- Public Safety (Note: If there is imminent danger, do NOT file a form – immediately contact Public Safety at 201-684-6666 or call 9-1-1.)
