Welcome to the Berrie Center!

The Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts houses The Sharp Theater, The Myron and Elaine Adler Theater, and The Kresge and Pascal Art Galleries. The Berrie Center has developed a rich series of public programming including Arch Performances, which produces a guest artist series including performances in dance, theater, and concerts. The Art Galleries house contemporary art exhibitions. In addition, the Berrie Center is home to the with specialized facilities for photography, dance, music and theater production.

Actress and Comedian Rachel Feinstein is a favorite among fans and fellow comedians alike. Named one ofÌý³Õ²¹°ù¾±±ð³Ù²â’sÌý“10 Comics To Watchâ€� of 2024, her Netflix standup specialÌýBig GuyÌýpremiered in May 2024 on the streamer’s list ofÌýTop 10 TV Shows in the U.S.Ìýwhere it remained for over a week. The hour invites viewers into Rachel’s delightfully chaotic life as the wife of a firefighter, a mother, and a comedian. In the words of her 3-year-old daughter, “my daddy’s a hero and my mommy’s sarcastic.â€� Rachel explores her marriage to a first responder who is also married to his firehouse family and unpacks what it’s like to navigate emotional intimacy with someone whose job it is to save people’s lives. Chock full of her signature “amazing impersonationsâ€� (Vulture),ÌýBig GuyÌýendears us to the loveable hodgepodge of characters in Rachel’s world.

Feinstein appeared on Comedy Central’s hit seriesÌýInside Amy SchumerÌýand she won a WGA Award for “Best Comedy/Variety Sketch Seriesâ€� for her work on the most recent season of the show on Paramount+. She was featured on Comedian Colin Quinn’s HBO pandemic specialÌýColin Quinn & Friends: A Parking Lot Comedy ShowÌýas well as comedy superstar Chris Rock’s feature filmÌýTop Five. Her half hour special premiered on Netflix’s hit seriesÌýThe StandupsÌýand her first hour specialÌýOnly Whores Wear PurpleÌýpremiered on Comedy Central.

Feinstein was featured alongside Amy Schumer in Hulu’s hit seriesÌýLife & BethÌýand she recurred on Amazon’s critically acclaimed Steven Soderbergh seriesÌýRed OaksÌýas well as Judd Apatow’s HBO comedyÌýCrashing. She also appeared in the role of “Anne Frankâ€� in Netflix’sÌýHistorical Roasts.

On the big screen, Rachel was seen in the feature filmsÌýTrainwreckÌýandÌýI Feel Pretty. She has also lent her voice to Adult Swim’sÌýVenture Brothers and the phenomenally successful GRAND THEFT AUTO video game franchise. She is a fan favorite on the late-night circuit with multiple appearances on HBO’sÌýLast Week Tonight, CBS’s TheÌýLate Late Show with James Corden, and NBC’sÌýThe Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
